Exchequer from IRIS Enterprise Software has come top out of all the products catering mainly for businesses in the small and medium range that were featured in this latest survey of accounting software products. It led its rivals by a comfortable margin.

Its’ scores based on customer satisfaction are also the joint highest (81) across all categories of business size. The survey ‘IT in Business – a review of the market for financial and business software’ was conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The Exchequer system is consistently identified as a benchmark within the industry scoring top ratings in industry surveys and the recipient of numerous mid range accounting software awards.

Published in May 2006, the survey provides a unique and statistically significant insight into the customer’s experience of its chosen accounting software asking questions regarding functionality, reliability, ease of use, initial service, on going support, failure in business critical sense and whether likely to recommend.

A total of 1007 businesses across four categories of size, micro, small, medium and large, were surveyed during the latter months of 2005 and the first part of 2006 to gain a view of the users’ satisfaction with their chosen software systems.

Of the seven categories surveyed, IRIS came top in three: Functionality, Ease of Use and Initial Service. 88% of users said they would recommend IRIS Enterprise Software.
