In a new independent review by on-line community AccountingWeb, Exchequer is described as an ‘outstanding accounting system’.

Originally written by David Carter, who is extremely well respected for his lab tests and updated by John Stokdyk, Editor of the IT Zone, the review commends Exchequer for its “distinctive style” and the way in which “it really impresses, giving the ‘vorsprung durch technik’ feel you get from the best German cars.”

The review goes on to say that ‘Exchequer is a top quality package which compares well with more expensive ‘best of breed’ financials systems.’ The developers are praised for producing software that ‘rethinks many accounting conventions from scratch and improves them.’

The author refers to ‘Exchequer’s excellent nominal coding which makes it very easy to produce sophisticated management reports. Its ability to link on line balances into Microsoft Excel is also excellent.’
