Experience:
- At least 1-2 years within a Business Software support role
- Experience of diagnosing software and user support issues and following through to completion.
- A basic understanding of Network and PC troubleshooting.
- Experience in data reporting or extraction using Reporting tools, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, ODBC etc.. is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of supporting Microsoft SQL , combined hardware and software solutions ( such as retail or hand held devices) is beneficial
- Experience in Microsoft Excel
- Experience of supporting clients in different industries eg: distribution, financial, service, construction, manufacturing etc.. and liaising with clients at all levels using your professional verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work on ones own on individual issues, but also as part of a close working team across multiple products and technologies.
- Inquisitive mind and ability to assemble and diagnose the intricacies of troubleshooting, problem replication and testing for users in a variety of industries.

- Ability to converse with clients at all levels from Government departments to SME organisations.
- Ability to understand and document in logical detail the clients issues, problems and solutions.

- Good communication skills.
Tasks:
- Take incoming support calls via telephone and email and provide excellent customer service in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide problem analysis and resolve client issues with the aid of available helpdesk tools (e.g. help files, Knowledge base and our in-house resources).
- Ensure accurate call comments are recorded and kept up to date in our internal logging software.
- Ensure call standards are maintained with respect to greeting, problem identification, proposed solution and conclusion.
- Collaborate with team members on knowledge transfer, support policies, procedures and standards

Graduate Desktop Application Developer
Due to the continued growth of our successful and experienced development department, we are looking for a commercially/business minded (and skilled) .Net Developer to design and develop business database applications primarily to run on a windows desktop platform..The role will involve working closely with other staff members and end-users to design, code, test and implement new bespoke desktop applications. This role will also include working on the continued development of existing core desktop applications. Essential to the role is the ability to work through the full development life cycle from requirement gathering to final delivery to the customer.
Applicants should have an excellent knowledge of Visual Studio and of interacting with MS SQL databases. Knowledge of VB .NET an advantage but not essential.
A very high percentage of the development work we do will integrate with our back end Accounting and Management Information System (Exchequer) so a good grasp of Accounting and business principles as well as desktop platform functionality and technologies are also beneficial.
Role Requirements:
- 3rd Level (or equivalent) Qualification in IT/Computer Science/Software Development.
- Ability to develop efficient, robust, flexible, reusable and scalable desktop applications primarily with Microsoft SQL backend.
- Ability to develop in .Net for Backend applications.
- Ability to work on your own initiative, in a team environment, to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work closely with other staff members and customers to define system requirements.
- Ability to project manage and interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to produce detailed development specifications and project plans.
- Ability to write project design documents, test plans and procedures.
- Ability to Code and test desktop applications including database backend functionality.
- Ability to Writing On-Line Help and User Manuals.
- Ability to design and development robust database functionality.
Essential Skills required:
- Excellent knowledge of Visual Studio 2010/2012 IDE, including an excellent working knowledge of the .NET Framework.
- Ability to write script for Backend desktop applications with any OOP language.
- Knowledge of one Object Oriented Programming languages is required.
- Possess relevant computer qualifications / experience.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to get to grips with, and work with, large and complex systems to deliver on-going maintenance updates as well as functionality enhancements.
- Ability to design code and test new desktop applications.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Bonus skill sets:
- Knowledge of VB .NET and Delphi an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of C# an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of Version Control Systems is an advantage but not essential.
- Possess a strong grasp of data structures and object-oriented programming.
- Understanding of business processes such as book keeping, or other business software applications also of benefit

Graduate Web Developer
We are recruiting a graduate web developer to join our team. Our eCommerce & Content Management System integrates with a range of Accounting software and allows our customers to have ecommerce websites created quickly and painlessly with unrivalled integration and operational benefits.The role will involve Project Managing, Implementing and training projects for our E-Commerce and CMS customers.
Training will be provided on our Content Management System.
Educational & Technical Requirements:
- 3rd Level Qualification required in Computer Science / Web Technologies or equivalent.
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript, Sass or LESS CSS frameworks.
- Knowledge of JQUERY/ JQUERY Mobile / and any other JavaScript frameworks.
- Knowledge of .NET programming language to build web services

We expect the breakdown of this role to be:
50% front-end HTML/CSS/JavaScript
10% Backend with .Net
40% installing and working within our content management system and the clients directly.
